401(k) Retirement Plan
401(k)
The PT Solutions 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan offers a convenient way for you to save for the future through payroll deductions. Eligible employees may participate in the plan the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You will receive an emailed enrollment package prior to eligibility, which includes notice of an automatic enrollment feature in which you will be automatically enrolled in the 401(k) plan.
Unless you take action to decline this automatic enrollment, PT Solutions assumes that you have authorized the company to withhold for each pay period on a pre-tax basis an amount equal to 2% of pay. This withholding percentage will remain in effect until such date that you make an affirmative election to increase, decrease, or cease your contributions to the plan. If you remain subject to automatic enrollment, you will experience a 1% automatic deferral increase annually on January 1 after a full year of participation, until reaching 6%.
Contributions from your pay may be made on a pre-tax or post-tax basis — up to the IRS annual limit. You may also make a combination of pre-tax and post-tax Roth 401(k) contributions, provided that your combined pre-tax and post-tax contributions do not exceed IRS maximums. If you are 50 years of age or older (or if you will reach age 50 by the end of the year), you may make a catch-up contribution in addition to the normal annual IRS annual limit ($3,500 for 2024 – 2025). Beginning in 2025, the catch-up limit for participants aged 60-63 will increase to a maximum of 150% of the standard annual catch-up contribution limit.
Vesting is your right of ownership to the money in your account. You are always 100% vested in your contributions and any investment earnings on those contributions. Vesting of company contributions, if applicable, is illustrated below:
Years of Service | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6+ |
% Vested | 0% | 20% | 40% | 60% | 80% | 100% |
